Getting Started

You’ve joined the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce. Congratulations! Now what?
 
To help get you started enjoying the benefits of your new Membership, we’ve outlined several ways you may want to become engaged. 

Within 30 days we suggest you: 
  • Visit the chamber website at http://www.hudsonchamber.org/ to become familiar with all the benefits, services, events.
  • Check your company profile on our online Membership Directory.
  • Take a few minutes to go through our online Membership Directory and write down the names of 5 business owners or businesses to whom you’d like personal introductions.  It would be our pleasure to help connect you to other members whenever possible.  Share that list with us and we’ll see what we can do to arrange some introductions.
  • Log on to our Member Portal by click on Member Login and review your company information and familiarize yourself with your on-site tools. (Membership Directory, Member Group Discounts, Event Calendar, etc.).
  • If there are other employees at your organization that you would like to have added to your account, contact Melissa Rosario with their information.
  • Attend an upcoming Chamber event (for example, our monthly Breakfast Club Meeting or an evening Networking Event, or a Tap Into Hudson event). 
  • "Like" the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. 
  • Add the Chamber ‘s SHOP LOCAL Member logo to your business website.
  • Look out for your New Member packet, which will be mailed to you at your business address. It will contain a copy of our annual SHOP Local Community Guide.
  • Keep an eye out for an email or phone call from one of our Chamber Ambassadors who are veteran members that can help connect you to events and other members.
 
Within 60 days we suggest you:
  • Attend a quarterly New Member Breakfast, an orientation for new members only. This Breakfast is intended to help you learn how to maximize your membership. Be on the lookout for your invitation to the next Breakfast.
  • Post your business event(s) on the Chamber Online Calendar. 
  • Attend an upcoming Chamber event
  • Contact our office at 201-386-0699 to discuss advertising opportunities for your business. 
 
Within 90 we suggest you: 
  • Review your business account in the online Membership Directory and update as needed. 
  • Look for potential business connections in the online Membership Directory. 
  • Contact our office at 201-386-0699 to discuss what benefits you’re not utilizing. 
 
Within 120 days we suggest you: 
  • Share your Chamber experience with a non-member business that would benefit from membership. 
  • Contact us if you have questions about your membership!
  • Attend an upcoming Chamber event (for example, our monthly Breakfast Club Meeting or an evening Networking Event, or a Tap Into Hudson event). 
  • Call us to discuss additional engagement opportunities (marketing opportunities and events sponsorships). 
 
Within 180 we suggest you: 
  • Review your Membership ROI. Are the goals you set for joining being met? If not, call us to learn how to better take advantage of your Membership.
