Government Affairs Agenda for 2011
The Hudson County Chamber of Commerce is committed to working closely with policy makers at the municipal, state and federal levels to enhance the economic vitality of Hudson County and position the region as a center for business development, commerce, culture and innovation.
The Chamber provides opportunities for more than 250 member organizations, including large corporations, small businesses and non-profits, to be heard on important public policy issues such as pro-business legislation, infrastructure development, and job creation. We strive to engage our members in discussions with policy makers in order that the voices of leaders doing business in the 12 municipalities that comprise Hudson County are heard.
Hudson County has a long and rich history as a center of commercial, industrial and residential growth. Today it is New Jersey’s most ethnically diverse and densely populated county. It is also a major transportation crossroad for the region and is home to one of the fastest growing cities in the State over the last 10 years, Jersey City. The Chamber is committed to supporting government and regulatory policies that promote Hudson County’s continued growth and enhance its competitive advantages in an increasingly global environment.
