We're pleased to host this Hudson ELC meeting. Employer Legislative Committee meetings are opportunities for the business community to speak directly with policy makers from throughout the state.
Please join us for the next in our ongoing series of updates on current legislative events in New Jersey and Hudson County. Our speaker in May will be the Hon. Angela McKnight, New Jersey State Assemblywoman, 31st District. Also joining us will be the New Jersey Business & Industry Association.
This event will be facilitated by Maria Nieves, President & CEO, Hudson County Chamber of Commerce.
Angela V. McKnight, elected as the 1st African American Assemblywoman for the 31st District for the State of New Jersey in 2015 and was re-elected in 2019 to serve a 3rd term. She sits on the following committees: Vice Chair of Women and Children and State and Local Government and Legislative Oversight Committee. Angela is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA). She is also the Carepreneur, who is the Founder & CEO of the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization AngelaCARES, Inc. AngelaCARES, Inc. is headquartered in Jersey City, NJ with its first chapter in Las Vas, Nevada and in collaboration with United Methodist Communities PineRidge of Montclair and Montclair Public Library, the Senior Space operates in Montclair, NJ and United Methodist Communities Covenant Place Senior Space in Plainfield, NJ. The organization was incorporated on October 20, 2011. AngelaCARES, Inc. motto is “A Passion to Care. The Ability to Help.” The mission is to serve as an advocate and support system for senior citizens, their caregivers, and a mentor to the youth by educating and empowering them to volunteer. We are committed to strengthening communities by enhancing the quality of life through these generations.
