Our speaker in October will be the Hon. Nicholas Chiaravalloti\, New Jersey State Assemblyman. Also joining us will be Chris Emigholz\, Vice President\, New Jersey Business & Industry Association. \n\n\n\nThis conversation will be facilitated by Maria Nieves\, President & CEO\, Hudson County Chamber of Commerce. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNicholas A. Chiaravalloti is an Assemblyman from the 31st Legislative District which covers all of Bayonne and parts of Jersey City. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nNicholas was born and raised in the City of Bayonne. His parents immigrated to the United States from Italy in the 1950s in order to pursue the American Dream. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nHe serves as Vice President for Planning and Development/Assistant to the President of Hudson County Community College in Jersey City. He previously worked at Saint Peter's University as the Fr. John Corridan\, S.J. Fellow\, Assoc. V. P. for Community Engagement and as Executive Director of the Guarini Institute for Government and Leadership. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nHe was a partner in the law firm of Weiner & Lesniak\, LLP. From 2002-2007\, Nicholas served as the State Director for the office of United States Senator Robert Menendez. In this role\, he oversaw operations to provide constituent services to citizens\, businesses\, industries\, educational and healthcare institutions and non-profit organizations throughout the State of New Jersey. He worked with federal regional officials\, the Office of the Governor of New Jersey\, state agencies and members of the NJ congressional delegation on legislative\, policy and program matters affecting the state of New Jersey. Locally\, Nicholas worked for the City of Bayonne as Director of Policy and Planning\, and for the Bayonne Local Redevelopment Authority as Executive Director.
